OUR TELEPHONE BEFRIENDING SERVICE
Since we launched our telephone befriending service in April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 Global emergency, our volunteers have helped residents from across North Tyneside feel less lonely and isolated. As well as providing a listening ear, we have also been able to signpost to a range of different organisations and provide practical support to make life that little bit more bearable during lockdown.
We are now looking to expand our service and would like to thank those organisations that have supported us with much needed funding. These include Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner who awarded us a grant, and The National Lottery Communities Fund who allowed us to divert funds from our Living History Project into our Covid-19 Support.
Would you like a regular chat? Contact us, and one of our friendly volunteers will call you back.
